What we know about you, and what we do with it
An online test has no reason to know much about you. This page says exactly what we keep, why, for how long, who we entrust it to, and how to erase everything.
Who is responsible
KLARITEE LLC, established outside the European Union, decides what is collected on this site and what it is used for. For any question: contact@cogniqlab.com. Because we are not established in the Union, we have appointed a representative there (Article 27 GDPR), whom you may contact instead of us: DataRep, 77 Camden Street Lower, Dublin D02 XE80, Irlande, contact@klaritee.co.
What we keep
Your test answers and the time spent on each question. The language and, if you give it, the gender stated at the start. Your email address, if you leave it with us. If you pay: the customer and subscription identifiers assigned by Stripe, amounts and dates. Proof of your consents (date, text version, encrypted fingerprint of the IP address — never the IP in clear). If you arrive from an ad and accept it: the ad click identifier.
What we never see
Your card number: it is entered at Stripe and never passes through our servers. We ask for no postal address, no date of birth, no health data, and none of our tests makes a diagnosis. At payment, Stripe asks for your name and billing address to calculate VAT: it collects them itself and records them on your Stripe customer record, which we can view in our Stripe account.
Why, and on what basis
Working out your score, showing it to you, managing your subscription and sending you the related emails: that is performance of the contract. Invoicing and keeping accounting records: that is a legal obligation. Preventing fraud, responding to a payment dispute and improving the accuracy of the tests from answers that cannot identify you: that is our legitimate interest. Measuring our ads: only with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
For how long
A test started without an account is erased automatically after a few weeks. Your account and results are kept as long as the account exists. Email logs are erased thirty days after an account is deleted. Accounting records and payment dispute files are kept for as long as the law requires, without your name or address once the account is deleted. An ad click identifier is not kept for more than 90 days.
Who we entrust it to
Stripe (payment, fraud prevention), Resend (sending emails), Railway (hosting of the site and the database). If you accept ad measurement: Google Ads and, depending on the network that brought you, Meta, TikTok, Snapchat or X, which receive the click identifier and the information that a trial has started. Each one only accesses what it needs. We neither sell nor rent your data, to anyone. For payment, Stripe acts as merchant of record (“Sold through Link”): it processes your payment and billing data as a separate controller, under its own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy). You can exercise your rights over that data directly with Stripe; a deletion request made to Stripe ends the subscriptions purchased through it.
Outside the European Union
We are established outside the Union, and our providers process data in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, and otherwise on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Cookies
Three are essential and do not require your consent: the one that keeps your test in progress, the one that keeps you signed in to your account, and the one that remembers your cookie choice. The others are used to measure our ads: they are refused by default, only exist if you accept them, and refusing is as easy as accepting.
Your rights
You may ask to see what we hold, to correct it, to receive it in a readable format, to restrict its use, to object to processing based on our legitimate interest, or to have everything erased. You may also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country — CNIL in France, your Land authority in Germany, AEPD in Spain, the Garante in Italy.
No automated decision
Your score is a calculation, not a decision taken about you: it has no legal effect and is not used for any advertising profiling.
Delete your account
Deletion stops your subscription immediately, erases your email address, your name and your ad identifiers, and closes all your sessions. Your answers and scores remain, detached from any identity, in the test statistics. Amounts paid remain in our accounts, without your name, for as long as the law requires. It is final.
