Terms of sale and of use
This text says who sells you the service, what you are buying, what it costs, how you stop, and what we do not claim to do. It is written to be read in full.
Who sells you this service
Cogniq is operated by KLARITEE LLC, a company established outside the European Union. Its address, publication director, representative in the Union and host are listed on the Legal notice page. These terms apply as soon as you take a test or subscribe on this site. Payment, for its part, is processed by Stripe, acting as merchant of record (“Sold through Link”): Stripe collects the payment and the VAT and sends you receipts and invoices. KLARITEE LLC remains responsible for the service described in these terms.
What you are buying
Online access to Cogniq, as digital content: your full score and its margin of error, your place out of 100 people, the detail of the three axes measured, a certificate to download, and the other tests available in the catalogue while your subscription runs. The catalogue may change; no number of tests is guaranteed.
What Cogniq is not
A test you take yourself, online, unsupervised. Your score places you against the people who took the same test; it is given for information only. It is neither a diploma, nor a certification, nor a psychological assessment, nor a medical opinion, and none of our tests makes a diagnosis. No institution, employer or school is bound to recognise it.
How the contract is formed
Before paying, you tick two separate boxes, never pre-ticked: the first accepts these terms, the second accepts the subscription and restates its amount, frequency and first charge date. The contract is formed at the moment of payment. You then receive an email restating everything — amount, end time of the 48 hours, first charge date, cancellation link — which you can keep.
Price, taxes and payment
€2.00 today for 48 hours of full access, then €29.90 per month until you cancel. These prices include all taxes: the VAT that applies is that of the country where you live; it is included in the amount shown and never added on top. Payment goes through Stripe; we never see your card number. Payment is processed by Stripe as merchant of record (“Sold through Link”): on your bank statement, the charge appears as LINK.COM* COGNIQ, and Stripe itself sends you a receipt and an invoice for each payment, plus a confirmation email when the trial starts. The payment may be processed by an institution located outside your country: your bank may then apply its own fees.
€2.00 today, full access for 48 hours.
Then €29.90 per month — subscription cancellable in one click, at any time.
If you cancel within the 48 hours, your access ends immediately.
Term and renewal
The subscription has no minimum term. The first charge of €29.90 takes place 48 hours after your payment, then the subscription renews every month, on the same date, until you stop it.
Cancelling, in one click
If you cancel within the 48 hours, your access ends immediately.
You can cancel at any time, without giving a reason and without signing in: from the “Cancel” link at the bottom of every page, from the link in the email received after payment, from your account, or by writing to contact@cogniqlab.com. One confirmation screen, no offer to hold you back. After the 48 hours, cancelling stops the renewal and your access continues until the end of the month already paid. A confirmation is sent to you by email. You can also cancel from link.com, where Stripe lets you manage your “Sold through Link” purchases (you may be asked to create a Link account there): cancelling there has the same effects as here, including the immediate end of access within the 48 hours.
Immediate access and right of withdrawal
Your full score and the catalogue open the second you pay. By confirming the payment, you expressly ask for access to begin before the end of the fourteen-day statutory withdrawal period, and you acknowledge that you lose this right once the digital content has been supplied to you. This request and acknowledgement are confirmed in the email received after payment. Cancellation remains possible at any time, as set out in the previous paragraph. Since payment is processed by Stripe as merchant of record, Stripe also applies the cooling-off periods that regulations in certain regions require, and may, in certain cases, grant a refund within 60 days of a payment; such requests go to Link support (support.link.com). Nothing in this paragraph deprives you of a right you hold under the law of your country of residence.
We will send you no reminder
These terms provide for no reminder email before your 48 hours end, and we promise none. All the information is given at the moment of payment, repeated in the email received right after, and shown at all times in your account: exact end time, upcoming amount, one-click cancellation.
If a payment fails, if the price changes
A declined charge is retried a few days later; if it fails again, access stops and the subscription ends, with nothing further claimed. A price change is announced to you by email before it applies, only affects the following months, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
Your access and your account
There is no password: you sign in through a link sent to your email address. Access is personal. We may suspend an account in case of automated use, resale of access or publication of the questions, after informing you by email. You can delete your account at any time from the Privacy page.
What belongs to us
The questions, figures, texts and the way scores are worked out belong to us. Your certificate is yours: you may show it, print it and share it. Reproducing the questions or publishing them elsewhere is not allowed.
What we answer for
We undertake to provide the service described here and to keep it available, maintenance interruptions aside. We guarantee neither that your score will be the one you hoped for, nor that a third party will accept it as proof of anything. The statutory conformity guarantees for digital content under the law of your country of residence apply in full, and nothing in these terms limits them.
Your data
What we collect, why, for how long, who we entrust it to and how to exercise your rights is described on the Privacy page, which forms part of these terms.
Complaints, disputes, applicable law
Write to us first at contact@cogniqlab.com: most situations are settled in one exchange, and we reply within seven working days. If our answer does not suit you, you may refer the matter free of charge to a consumer mediator or to the courts of your country of residence. Whatever law is chosen, you keep the protection given by the mandatory rules of your country of residence. These terms are drafted in French, which prevails if the translations diverge.
